Miley Cyrus, Colbie Caillat Contribute Tracks To “A Very Special Christmas 7″

The first “A Very Special Christmas” compilation was released over twenty years ago featuring songs from Whitney Houston, Madonna, and Sting. Now, the seventh holiday collection to benefit the Special Olympics is being released featuring music from stars like Miley Cyrus, Colbie Caillat, and Carrie Underwood.
The first “A Very Special Christmas” set since 2003’s “A Very Special Acoustic Christmas,” “A Very Special Christmas 7″ features brand new, exclusive recordings from Colbie Caillat, who performs “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens who contributes her version of “Winter Wonderland,” and even Sean Kingston, providing a reggae-tinged version of “The Little Drummer Boy.”

“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester, who just released her debut single with Robin Thicke, contributes a cover of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” and “Hannah Montana” star Mitchel Musso contributes “Jingle Bell Rock” to the album. Gloriana and the Carter Twins add some country Christmas flare with their versions of “Silent Night” and “Let it Snow.”

“This is a fantastic Christmas record created by and for a new generation that wants to make the world a better place,” said Timothy Shriver, Chairman and CEO of Special Olympics. The album also includes previously released cuts from Miley Cyrus, with “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” Carrie Underwood, with “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” and Ashley Tisdale with her cover of Wham’s “Last Christmas.” The album hits stores on November 23rd.
